Natural Symmetry is created from a photographic detail of a physical artwork. Using the properties of light and reflection, Sims’ technically exacting sculptural works reference natural systems and geometric forms found in nature. The flipped and folded image in Natural Symmetry slowly revolves and merges to create a rippling effect of intersecting lines of light, serving as a metaphor for the interconnectedness of natural systems and their dependence on one another, from the microscopic to the macroscopic. The mediative video loop with its slow rotation references the eternal found in nature and the gradual expansion and contraction emulates a deep, restorative breath.

The edition of 100 NFTs consists of a 250 seconds (4.10 min) animation by Jason Sims with original music by Satori. Each MP4 video comes with an additional unique still image extrapolated from the animation as extra content.
